We’ve attempted to find a good balance of scheduled events and down time, so you’re not overloaded with a heavy schedule.
The recommendation is to arrive on Wednesday April 22nd and stay through Monday April 27th.
However, if you’re in town by Thursday evening, you won’t miss any of the events listed below.
Also, there is no obligation to attend any scheduled events outside of the actual wedding on April 25th. Please keep in mind that kids are not invited to any of the scheduled events.
Join us Thursday evening at 8:45 p.m. at the city center’s basketball court (cancha de basquetbol). We’ll kick off a tour of Zihua’s best taquerias and cantinas starting at 9:00 p.m. It’s a great way to meet new people and experience the local nightlife and food scene.
We’ve planned a later start time to give guests flying in on Thursday a chance to settle in before meeting up.

Sunset Boat Cruise
Friday, April 24
We’re sailing into the weekend on board the Picante, a catamaran (all the yachts were taken…) destined for a cruise around Zihua and Ixtapa’s coastline. Plan on eating and drinking to your merriment under a beautiful sunset for 2½ hours on the water. The Picante departs from the downtown dock at 5 PM. Transportation will be provided, with pick-up at the Thompson at 4:30 PM. After the cruise, drop-off will be at the Thompson, or you have the option to stay in the city and explore.
Wedding Day
Saturday April 25th
The big day. Plan on arriving to Casa Angelina by 4:30pm dressed and ready to go. Most of our guests will be staying at the Thompson Hotel with shuttle service provided. If you’re not staying at the Thompson hotel, you can either taxi directly to Casa Angelina about a 7 min taxi ride or meet the shuttle at the Thompson which is scheduled to leave around 4:50 pm.
The ceremony will begin around 5:30 pm and will last as long as it takes us to say our vows. We promise we won’t keep you in the sun for more than 20 minutes.
After the ceremony we’ll head into cocktail hour followed by dinner and then the dance party. Next to the dance floor lies an infinity pool that odds suggest you will be in by the end of the night, so a change of clothes could very well be in order.
The venue will kick us out at midnight which is the same time shuttle service back to the Thompson will be provided. If you plan to leave earlier than midnight, please let us know in advance and we’ll arrange for an earlier shuttle.
Sleep off your hangover, throw on your swimmer, and roll over to the Thompson hotel for the beach day.
We realize the flights out are easier on Sunday so there no is obligation to stick around.
