It’s essential to ensure your passport is valid for the entire duration of your stay. While Mexico requires that passports be valid only for the length of the trip, some airlines have strict policies, often requiring at least six months of validity beyond the travel dates. To avoid any issues with airline policies or unexpected delays.
Considering that routine passport processing can take 6 to 9 weeks, and expedited services take approximately 3 to 5 weeks, it's recommended that guests check their passport expiration dates and initiate the renewal process at least 4 to 6 months before the wedding. This timeframe ensures ample processing time and accounts for any unforeseen delays.
Passport Validity: Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond the wedding date.
Renewal Timeline: Begin the renewal process no later than 4 to 6 months before the wedding to accommodate processing times.
Airline Policies: Some airlines may enforce stricter passport validity requirements; verify with your carrier to prevent boarding issues.
